The US military says it carried out an attack on a ship allegedly transporting drugs in the Pacific Ocean, killing three men.

The attack is one in a series against ships the US military claims were smuggling drugs in the Pacific or Caribbean Sea.

The US attacks have been ongoing since last fall. At least 185 people have been killed.

Human rights organizations have criticized the attacks, calling them extrajudicial executions.
