Jennifer Aoun wins "Hello Mello"

It became a suggestive disco hit that took home the victory in "Hello Mello", SVT's melody festival for artists between 13 and 15 years old. The winner Jennifer Aoun from Skövde received the most votes from both the jury and the TV viewers.

Completely unreal, I don't understand what's happening. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has voted, says Jennifer Aoun to TT after the victory.

This has been the girls' autumn in the new launch of "Hello Mello". The guys have been eliminated one by one on the way to the final, and of tonight's ten contributions, eight were performed by solo-singing girls and one girl duo.

The winning contribution "Breaking my heart" was written by the well-known trio Jimmy Jansson, Moa “Cazzi Opeia” Carlebecker, and Thomas G:son in the Melodifestivalen context. Maja Söderström came in second, followed by the group 4Fun.

Out of competition

In the five qualifying rounds, the viewers have, with the help of phone and app votes, decided which contributions should move on, but for the final, a jury consisting of Lasse Holm, Charlotte Perrelli, Måns Zelmerlöw, Klara Hammarström, and the metal duo Scarlet was also called in via link.

The jury accounted for 50 percent of the points, and the viewers distributed the remaining 50 percent. When the jury votes were in, Jennifer Aoun was in the lead, and after the viewer votes were added, the matter was settled.

The girl from Skövde, who is in ninth grade, could lift the Mello statuette and will also perform out of competition in the big Melodifestivalen next year.

How will it feel to stand on the stage in the "real" Melodifestivalen?

I dare not even think about it yet, I've been watching Mello since I was little. It's too big to take in.

25 artists

In the "big" Melodifestivalen, Sunday evening's guest artists Medina have achieved great success in recent years. The song “Que sera” which the duo performed came in second place in this year's competition.

In total, 25 young artists between 13 and 15 years old have competed with newly written music in five qualifying rounds. The songwriter team includes names like Axel Schylström, Fröken Snusk, Anderz Wrethov, Danny Saucedo, and Joy Deb.

The hosts of "Hello Mello" have been Malin Olsson and Eric Saade.
