Salonen awards Annalisa Ericson a scholarship of 100,000 kronor because she “has a self-evident and self-luminous radiance on stage”. The jury also highlights her ability to portray her roles in the same way as her predecessor – “with a charming simplicity and an infectious smile”.
Anna Salonen is trained at the Ballet Academy's musical department in Gothenburg and made her debut the same year she graduated in the Gothenburg Opera's production of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Since then, she has played in "Oliver", "Mamma Mia! The Party", "Wicked" and "Rocky Horror Show", among others.
The Annalisa Ericson scholarship was established in 2005 by the actor and revue artist herself. Previous scholarship recipients include Sara Jangfeldt, Birgitta Rydberg and Sara Lindh.
