Mari Hesthammer, music editor at Sveriges Radio P3, highlights in a press release that this year's list contains several strong, new names that have not appeared before. Examples of this are Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, whose song "Espresso" places fifth.
Swedish artists are doing well – five of the ten most played songs are by Swedish artists. Of the music played, 43 percent is performed by men and 47 percent by women, with the remaining ten percent being duets.
