Annika Brändström has been appointed as acting national security adviser, after Henrik Landerholm left the position on Monday.
At the same time, the Government Offices announced that Brändström, as deputy national security adviser, would temporarily perform his duties.
"Annika Brändström has been a central part of the organization supporting the national security council from the start and is now stepping in as acting national security adviser. Annika Brändström will lead the operations until a new national security adviser is appointed", says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party) in a press release.
The assignment as acting national security adviser will last at most until July 26, 2025.
