Last year, Ibrahim Diabate only scored once. A year later, the Gaisan striker became one of the two best goal scorers in the Allsvenskan.

Malmö goalkeeper Robin Olsen got one hand on the penalty, but Ibrahim Diabate's 1-0 away goal went into the goal.

A goal that meant more than just the lead – the penalty meant the striker's 18th goal, which meant he shared the league's top scorer with Djurgården's August Priske – who in turn scored a goal against Öster in the last Allsvenskan round.

We came out after halftime and Theo (Bergvall, teammate) runs to me and says, "Diabate has scored." It wasn't what you want to hear, but what the hell. I still managed it," Priske tells HBO Max after the goal.

I thought I would have to score two goals.

Both players are new additions to their teams ahead of the season.

Ibrahim Diabate joined Gais from Västerås ahead of the season. In Västerås he scored only one goal in 20 matches in the Allsvenskan.

Priske, in turn, came from Central Denmark.

Malmö managed to turn the game around and the final score was 2–1. Gais had already secured third place before the round and thus qualified for the European Games next season. Malmö, in turn, finished in sixth place.
