The alarm about the fire in Håjum's industrial area came on Sunday morning. The smoke development was strong and the rescue service issued a VMA, important message to the public. Everyone in the area was urged to go indoors and close windows, doors and ventilation.
In the afternoon, the appeal was lifted and the rescue service began to withdraw personnel.
We are doing after-extinguishing. The building has burned down to the ground, but we have managed to save adjacent buildings, says Ulrik Olsson, duty officer at the rescue service.
He estimates that the after-extinguishing will continue for several hours. There is no information about personal injuries.
The cause of the fire is not known, but the police have filed a report on suspected arson. There is no suspected person in the case.
