Tuesday brings difficult road conditions, and several warnings have been issued in southern Sweden - even though last night's storm was not as bad as feared.

The most snow fell in the southeastern part of Skåne, around 14 centimeters, said Christopher Greenland, meteorologist at SMHI.

Between 20 and 30 centimeters of snow were expected during the night, but in several places it fell between a few centimeters to 10 centimeters.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, however, road conditions are difficult in southern Skåne, from Trelleborg to Simrishamn.

The warnings, which were issued in Skåne, Blekinge, parts of Kalmar and southern Öland, remain in place early on Tuesday.

Some yellow warnings for snowfall remained in effect until 9 a.m., while others for snowfall combined with wind remained in effect until 1 p.m. An orange warning was in effect until early Tuesday morning.
