At least two people were killed in an attack on the Palestinian refugee camp Ain al-Hilweh, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry. The attack was reportedly carried out by an Israeli drone that targeted an area in the camp.
In addition to the fatalities, an unknown number of people were injured in the attack.
The Israeli military says in a statement that it struck one of Hamas's command centers that it has labeled a terrorist site "from which terrorists were operating."
During the evening, Israel was also reported to have struck the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon. According to Lebanese media, at least six people were killed there. Israel says it was a targeted attack against the Islamist movement Hezbollah.
