The document from the country's Foreign Ministry notes that it received a list of fallen Cameroonians from the Russian embassy, describing them as "contract soldiers."
Ukrainian authorities say a total of around 1,800 people from African countries have been conscripted into Russian forces. Several of them have testified about how they were lured to Russia with false promises of jobs or education, and then forced into the army instead.
