Seven people arrested after the fatal beating of a right-wing activist in France could be charged with murder, prosecutors in the case say.

So far, eleven people have been arrested on suspicion of being connected to the death of Quentin Deranque last week.

Prosecutors want to charge seven of them with murder, while the other four were released on Thursday. According to prosecutor Thierry Dran, police are looking for more suspects.

23-year-old Quentin Deranque died after being assaulted last week by at least six people during a protest held by the French far right in Lyon.
