Images from the village of Ansar, where the first attack took place, show people searching through the rubble of a completely destroyed residential building.
Seven people - including three children and two women - were killed in the attack, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.
60-year-old Abbas Khalil says he was in the middle of his early morning prayer when the bombs fell.
"We were completely shocked. There is nothing that can justify this," he told AFP.
In total, at least eleven people were killed in various attacks, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
"Speed up the conversations"
The Israeli military says it attacked infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah and that the attacks were in response to the Shiite militia's actions against Israeli soldiers participating in Israel's occupation of southern Lebanon.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam is calling on Israel to stop its "escalation" and the country's President Joseph Aoun is accusing Israel of violating the framework agreement for long-term peace that Lebanon and Israel have signed.
But the message from Israel is that the attack should be seen as a way to "speed up the talks."
"And I think they will. They will hopefully accelerate the talks because the enemy here is clear, and that is Hezbollah," Doron Spielman, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, told AFP.
Thousands killed
In total, over 4,300 people have been killed in Lebanon since Israel launched extensive airstrikes in March followed by a ground invasion, after Iran-backed Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel in response to the Israeli-American war against Iran.
Since a framework agreement to achieve long-term peace, disarm Hezbollah and prepare for an Israeli withdrawal was signed in late June, the conflict has eased somewhat. However, Israel has continued to carry out attacks on southern Lebanon and demolish buildings in areas it has taken control of.
Israeli forces will remain in the “security zone” and continue demolitions of “underground infrastructure,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said when he visited southern Lebanon earlier this week.
