Seven Greek football fans were killed when their minibus collided with a truck in Romania. The men were on their way to France for PAOK Thessaloniki's away match against Lyon in the UEFA Europa League.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was "shaken" when he heard about the traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday.

"In these difficult moments, I would like to express, together with all Greeks, my deepest condolences to the relatives of the victims and to the PAOK family," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Ten men were travelling in the minibus when it collided with a truck. Six of them were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lyon - PAOK Thessaloniki Europa League match is scheduled to be played on Thursday.
