One of the attacks on Friday morning occurred near Jabal Amel Hospital, killing four and wounding seven. A healthcare facility sustained material damage.

Another attack targeted a residential area, killing three people and wounding five.

On Friday evening, new reports emerged that at least five people had been killed in the Nabatieh region. One of those killed in the Israeli attack was a medic.

Israeli warning

The Israeli military, the IDF, issued a call early Friday to residents of three towns in Lebanon to leave their homes ahead of operations against the Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah.

"In light of Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire and its attacks on Israeli territory, the IDF is forced to act forcefully against them, especially in your areas. The IDF does not intend to harm you," wrote the military's Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, on X.

Direct battles

The Israeli military reported that two soldiers were seriously injured in separate incidents during the day. One was injured in a direct clash in southern Lebanon.

Israel and Lebanon recently agreed to extend a fragile ceasefire between the two countries. The deal is based on Hezbollah stopping attacks on Israel and withdrawing from the border area, which will be monitored by the Lebanese army. But Hezbollah has not entered the negotiations and rejects them, demanding that Israel withdraw completely from Lebanon.

The fighting escalated in early March, when Hezbollah attacked Israel in retaliation for the attacks on Iran that sparked the war there.
