A man in his 30s has died from his injuries, after being found outdoors in the Ektorp district of Norrköping. The man is believed to have been shot to death, according to the police.

It was at 18:00 that the police were alerted to loud bangs in the area. On the scene, the man was found who was described as "very seriously injured".

At 22:00, the police announced that he had died from his injuries.

The police assume that the man was shot, but no confirmation that this is the case can be given. The preliminary investigation concerns murder and serious weapons offenses.

Everything indicates that it is, says the police's press spokesperson Olle Älveroth.

No suspect is detained. The police are going door-to-door, conducting interviews and searching for clues.

We have technicians at the crime scene. It is a fairly large cordoned-off area that we are still working on, says Älveroth.
