The car is completely destroyed, says Morten Gunneng, officer on duty with the police.
The incident occurred on the E20 in Alingsås shortly after 3 a.m. on Christmas Day.
The injured man, who was also the driver, managed to get out of the car himself. He is suspected of gross negligence in traffic.
