It was around 9 p.m. on Friday evening that police and emergency services received an alarm about a traffic accident between a car and a bus. The car caught fire in the collision, but the fire has now been extinguished.
Region Skåne says on its website that the man in his 40s who was traveling in the car has died in hospital. Another seven people who were traveling on the bus have been taken to hospital by ambulance, and at least one person is seriously injured.
At this time, no one is suspected of a crime and the road remains blocked.
