The police told Expressen that the injured are a man and a woman. They were allegedly attacked with some kind of weapon.
The emergency medical centre told TT that two people were taken by ambulance to Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg.
Police were previously unsure on Sunday evening about the number of injured.
"It is a serious violent crime. Two or three people are injured," said Johan Ljung, police officer on duty, shortly after 11 p.m.
The suspected perpetrator was arrested "a short distance away," said Ljung.
"As far as we understand, this is an isolated incident involving people who are familiar with each other," he said.
The police are on site with several resources. The alarm came at 9:26 p.m.
