Doctors announced on Saturday that the president returned to Serbia after experiencing sudden chest pain, which appears to have been caused by high blood pressure. His condition is now stable.
He will not be hospitalized, but a doctor says he is not expected to return to his usual duties in the coming days.
Vucic fell ill during a meeting, and the decision to return to Serbia was made in consultation with doctors, according to a report from the public service company RTS.
The Serb had met, among others, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani during his visit in Miami. He had further planned commitments and had also expressed hopes of being able to meet US President Donald Trump.
It is already known that the 55-year-old Vucic suffers from high blood pressure.
