The former Rosengård player, now in England with Brighton, was one of several Serbians who put in a brilliant performance in the World Cup qualifying match against Sweden.
Serbia could easily have won the match. The home team had a shot that hit the post, but still celebrated the historic result.
Women's football is not at a very high level here, to be honest. So results like this are extremely important. Hopefully more girls will start playing and the association and the country as a whole will invest more in us. I feel very proud, says Jelena Cankovic.
