A Russian-Ukrainian man is sentenced to a long prison term in Russia, accused of having collaborated with Ukraine.
The man is sentenced to 22 years in prison for terrorist crimes and treason. According to the charges, he has handed over information about Russian infrastructure to Ukraine and attempted to blow up a local party office.
The verdict falls in a Russian military court in the border region of Kursk, where Ukraine still occupies an area.
The 30-year-old man is described in court as primarily Ukrainian. He detonated an explosive charge in the party office's reception, according to the court.
It really didn't cause any harm, it's too harsh a sentence, he said when the verdict fell and added that it will be appealed.
