The housing market traditionally picks up again at the end of August after the summer. However, on the housing website Hemnet, there is a reduced supply. In week 32 (August 3-9), there were 44,346 homes for sale - a decrease of 18 percent compared with the corresponding week in 2024.
"Both supply and selling times have begun to decrease, while the number of sales has been at record-high levels in recent months. Our assessment is that this trend may continue during the autumn," says Hemnet's housing analyst Erik Holmberg in a comment.
The housing website Hemnet is a leading player in the housing market. 82 percent of all homes sold in 2025 were advertised on the site, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB).
