Self-driving Tesla gets green light in the Netherlands for FSD Supervised system

The decision takes immediate effect, according to the authority. It is now awaiting review by the European Commission, which could mean that the certificate will be valid throughout the EU.

With the FSD Supervised system, the vehicle is controlled by the car's computer, including steering, throttle, braking, navigation and parking. However, the driver remains in the driver's seat and can take control of the car at any time.

Tesla's owner, founder and CEO Elon Musk - the world's richest man - has thanked the Netherlands for rigorous testing of the system in a series of posts on the social network X, which is another part of Elon Musk's corporate empire.
