The trade union Seko is issuing another notice of dispute in the conflict between the trade unions and the electric car manufacturer Tesla, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot.

It is, according to the radio, about a blockade of all work performed for Tesla in the telecommunication agreement area by member companies in the employer organization Tech Sweden.

When it comes to, for example, networks or fiber or telephony, we will not help out where Tesla needs either service or maintenance, or new installation of these parts, says Seko's chairman Gabriella Lavecchia to Ekot.

Seko hopes that their notice will have major effects.

There are probably not many companies in Sweden today that do not need telephony, fiber, networks – and I would guess that Tesla needs it more than others, says Gabriella Lavecchia.

On October 30, the blockade will come into force if Tesla does not sign a collective agreement, announces Seko.

In early September, the Mediation Institute announced that it had given up on the parties IF Metall and Tesla agreeing on a collective agreement. Since then, a total of eight new notices have been issued, according to Ekot.

The Mediation Institute initiated the case in October 2023 after IF Metall had notified a strike to get a collective agreement with Tesla in Sweden, which means that the conflict will soon have been going on for two years.
