The 41-meter-long boat Stefania went under the hammer at the shipyard in the city of La Ciotat, east of Marseille.

The yacht, built in 2021, was estimated to cost between ten and twelve million euros but ultimately only fetched the auction price of ten million.

Stefania's interior is in art deco style and the yacht features a pool, a jacuzzi, and a wood-fired open fireplace. The boat can accommodate ten guests and up to six crew members.

The yacht was seized in 2023 near Genoa in northwestern Italy at the request of French authorities. According to the prosecution, French police had investigated "criminal activities" carried out by Belarusian and Ukrainian citizens and launched an investigation into "arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and money laundering by an organized gang".

A Belarusian man has been identified as the yacht's owner and he is also linked to a lavish villa on the French Riviera that was also placed under judicial control in 2023.
