The so-called security zone has been in effect since March 23. Within the zone, the police are allowed to search people and vehicles even if there is no concrete suspicion of a crime. It was extended on April 7 but is now ending.
"The assessment is that it would not be proportionate, given the conflicting interests, to extend the decision on the safety zone once again," the police write on their website.
However, the police assess there is a risk of violence, and there will therefore be increased security at the scene.
Facts: Police operations during the security zone
The police discovered four crimes during 174 checks of people and 14 searches of houses and cars carried out during the security zone.
There were two violations of the Knife Act and two drug offenses.
