The recent job advertisement arouses both joy and curiosity in Brussels.
The trade adviser being sought will, among other things, "monitor, analyze and assess the impact of EU rules and trade policy." The only catch is that the employer is mentioned only as "a diplomatic mission" - without identifying the country itself.
Neither does the recruitment firm want - or can - reveal anything.
"Unfortunately, I cannot say which government or mission is behind it," was the response according to a request forwarded to the news site Politico Europe.
Anyone who wants - and dares - to submit their information to the secret country has until October 15.
