Second-hand market picks up as July sales rise 23 percent, Svensk Handel says

"There are good conditions for the market to continue growing," says Maria Mikkonen, chief economist at Swedish Commerce, in the press release.

If you sum up the entire second quarter, April–June, sales fell 2 percent compared with the same period last year. And in the first quarter, the decline compared with the same period a year earlier was 15 percent, according to the organization.

Online shopping dominates when it comes to second-hand sales, with 69 percent of all sales during the first half of this year.
