A late lead in the first period was followed by an early 2–0 in the second. Marcus Nilsson and Lenni Killinen were the standout players for Björklöven - who are now two wins away from finally taking the long-awaited step up to the SHL in the all-Swedish hockey final.
Björklöven went into the final period with a 3–1 lead. Tim Barkemo reduced the deficit but the away team didn't get any closer than that. Instead, Killinen scored his second goal of the evening.
We win fairly, says Daniel Brodin.
Karlskoga is under pressure, but has two home games to make the final completely even. The hockey all-Swedish final is decided in the best of seven games.
Karlskoga defender Rikard Olsén is at risk of missing the upcoming matches. He was unable to complete tonight's match.
