The US financial authority SEC will submit a proposal for amendments after the US President Donald Trump's statement that the requirement for quarterly reports should be abolished.

I welcome the proposal from the president and have spoken to him about it, says Paul Atkins to CNBC.

The US President Donald Trump wrote earlier in the week on his platform Truth social that it should be sufficient with half-year reports from the companies. He also said that provided the US financial authority SEC gives the go-ahead, the requirement for quarterly reports should be removed.
