The episode, which aired just over three weeks ago, was about gender equality and what a relationship should really be like.
Samuelsson said that his partner has had to take on more responsibility at home because he is away competing. This means she cannot build up as good a pension as she would if she were working full-time.
Samuelsson was critical of the fact that working from home is not considered as valuable as a regular job.
“I’m happy to discuss it”
That prompted Christian Democratic MEP Alice Teodorescu Måwe to lash out.
And who will pay then? You have to pay because your wife is at home. You are portraying people as paralyzed, said Teodorescu Måwe.
Samuelsson tells TT that they (Skavlan) brought him on because they wanted someone “who stands in the middle”.
That’s how they sold it to me. You think you have something smart to say, but then you forget everything. It’s great fun to discuss different topics, but it’s difficult when you’re not used to it, says the 29-year-old.

The biathlon star emphasizes the importance of staying up to date with what is happening around him. Samuelsson cites the complicated government formation, with a twinkle in his eye, as an example.
