Just like the other major banks, SEB is raising the growth outlook for the Swedish economy, despite global uncertainties.

"Growth has clearly picked up even before the fiscal stimulus measures decided last year began to take effect. A stronger labor market and continued rising real wages point to good growth in 2027 as well," wrote the bank's head of forecasting, Daniel Bergvall, in a comment.

SEB economists expect Swedish GDP growth of 3.0 percent this year and 2.9 percent in 2027.

Inflation is expected to fall further, to 1.1 percent in 2026, according to the CPIF excluding energy. SEB nevertheless expects the Swedish Central Bank to keep its policy rate unchanged. The first increase is expected at the end of 2027.
