SEB lowers Sweden's 2026 growth forecast to 2.6 percent

"However, it is still higher growth than in 2025, and we also stick to our optimistic forecast of 2.9 percent growth in 2027," they write in their economic report, Nordic Outlook.

"Low inflationary pressure and resource utilization mean that the Swedish Central Bank will not raise interest rates until the end of 2027," they add.

The war in the Middle East has increased uncertainty, according to SEB economists. They expect that prices for flights and charter travel will increase over the next 3–9 months due to sharply higher fuel prices.

"Rising prices for diesel and fertilizer are expected to lead to slightly higher food prices later this year," they write.
