Billionaire Petter Stordalen saves the celebration at Norway vs Sweden match

"I can confirm that Sunclass Airlines, with a full crew, will fly home the hockey players, the management staff and their families so that they can make it to Ullevål and receive the tribute they deserve," Petter Stordalen told VG.

The Norwegian national ice hockey team, which sensationally won bronze at the World Cup in Switzerland after defeating Canada, was invited to the international football match between Norway and Sweden.

But they wouldn't make it there, as there were no flights available and the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association couldn't afford to charter a flight itself.

Then billionaire Petter Stordalen stepped in.

"I thought this had to be resolved," he says.
