An NFL club has begun the process of being sold, according to a statement on Wednesday. The club was previously owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, who died in 2018. Now his sister, Jody Allen, wants to sell the assets to raise money for various charitable projects.
No price tag has been disclosed, but Bloomberg reports that it could be the highest price ever paid for an NFL club. In 2023, Washington's NFL team was sold for $6 billion, and there has been talk of a valuation of around $6.6 billion.
Among potential buyers is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was a potential buyer for Washington.
