There was no historic seventh title for the New England Patriots, who instead were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks 29–13 in the NFL final. "It's a unique feeling," said Devon Witherspoon of the Seahawks.

The game was played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

"I was just so happy to fight with these guys. We've been through a lot, but we believed in it," Witherspoon said after the victory.

The same teams also met in the finals in 2015. Then New England emerged victorious.

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny provided the halftime entertainment at last night's Super Bowl, performing entirely in Spanish.

So far, no team in NFL history has won seven titles.
