After a 12-hour search, a navy rescue team has located the plane, which had five crew members on board. The search for survivors continues, the airport authority writes on X.
The Boeing plane was en route from Sharjah to Karachi when it disappeared from radar on Tuesday evening.
According to the website Flightradar, flight data indicates a sudden loss of altitude, followed by a climb and then a second "sudden and dramatic" loss.
The crew had reported problems with the navigation system shortly before the incident, according to the Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA).
