Zorro Ranch in New Mexico is one of several luxury properties owned by Epstein. Most attention has been focused on the billionaire's Caribbean island, but many crimes are suspected to have been committed at the desert property as well. It is mentioned thousands of times in the millions of investigative documents released.
"This search operation is part of the criminal investigation announced on February 19 into allegations of illegal activity at Epstein’s ranch prior to Epstein’s death in 2019," the state Department of Justice said.
At least two women have accused Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sexually abusing them at the ranch when they were minors.
