Seahawks beat Patriots in Super Bowl rematch, rally to win NFL opener 13-10

Thu 10 Sept 2026 06:03 CEST

The Seattle Seahawks won the first game of the NFL season when the team defeated the New England Patriots 13-10. The game was a rematch of last season's Super Bowl.

Seattle had a nightmare start when quarterback Sam Darnold was forced to leave with a hip injury. Early in the third quarter, the reigning champions were also down 0-10.

A field goal sparked Seattle's hopes before the real turnaround began.

Ten points in the fourth quarter paved the way for a 13-10 victory.
