The authority announced on Monday that the ban on the vessel’s use had been lifted because it is registered in Equatorial Guinea.
It was boarded by Swedish authorities in March, according to the Swedish Coast Guard, because it was not seaworthy.
"The ship did not have a flag state at the time, as it was flying a false flag from the Comoros. In May, the ship said it had reflagged to Cameroon, which also turned out to be a false statement," the Coast Guard wrote in a press release.
The ship’s captain was arrested in May on suspicion of using a false document. However, the captain was later released and the investigation was closed.
Correction: A previous version contained incorrect information about the ship’s documentation.
