The Sweden Democrats demand that the Culture Committee summon SVT's management after the channel's program Agenda showed an AI-generated clip as if it were an authentic video.

"The information that has reached us is very serious and indicates a system error within SVT," says SD's cultural policy spokesperson Alexander Christiansson in a press release.

According to the party, "several serious incidents" have been noted within SVT in recent weeks that raise questions about "governance, control and accountability."

"This must be corrected immediately, not least in view of the upcoming election campaign," Christiansson continues, adding that the Swedish people should be able to trust public service.

The clip showed what appeared to be a New York police officer berating an ICE worker. The clip was aired as part of a segment highlighting the controversy in the United States over the deportation of undocumented immigrants.

Agenda's editor-in-chief Michael Kucera has regretted what happened.
