The SD wants to make it easier for paedophiles to seek care and receive treatment. They also want to spread something called the “Östhammar Model”. It is an initiative in the SD-controlled municipality of Östhammar that aims to introduce mandatory training on grooming and sexual exploitation of children for all staff who work with children, as well as students.
The "crime prevention agreement" that Åkesson signs with Dumpen contains 20 points that the organisation believes are needed to protect children.
The vast majority of paedophiles do not act out their paedophilic disorder until later in life, so there is an opportunity to catch them early, says Åkesson.
Dumpen's editor-in-chief, Sara Nilsson, was convicted earlier this year of gross defamation after the site published information that a named man had sought sexual contact with a fictitious child. SD then paid Dumpen's fine and legal costs.
During the election campaign, the SD has also launched proposals for a state-run interactive paedophile map and that people who have exposed convicted paedophiles online should be pardoned.
