Parisa Liljestrand has responded to Stegrud, who is the Sweden Democrats' social policy spokesperson.
”I came to Sweden when I was three years old. This is the country where I grew up, and the only place on earth that I would like to call home. It is a tremendous honor to be our country's culture minister. Does Jessica Stegrud think we should not participate in the debate because of our origin?”, she writes on Instagram.
Kristersson: Speak clearly
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party) tells TV4 News that Stegrud has an ”incomprehensible tone”.
I say exactly like Parisa Liljestrand, what does she really mean? That question she must answer. I think Parisa did an extraordinary job yesterday. Does she mean that Parisa should not be involved in discussing these issues because of her origin? What does she mean? Speak clearly, says Ulf Kristersson to the TV channel.
Should speak respectfully
Redar has also commented on the statement, which according to her "shows that the Sweden Democrats have not changed at all”.
”Not even we who are born in Sweden and who have Swedish as our first language are included in the Sweden Democrats' Sweden.” she continues in a post on X.
”What kind of comment is this? Behave yourself.” writes The Liberals' party leader Simona Mohamsson in a post to Stegrud on X.
Both the Sweden Democrats and The Moderate Party have, in connection with the Tidö cooperation, agreed that representatives should ”behave with dignity and speak respectfully" to each other.
TT is seeking Jessica Stegrud.
