The rescue service was alerted to a burning scrap heap in Halmstad at four o'clock on Saturday morning, reports GP.
The scrap heap is approximately 70 by 20 meters in size, according to the rescue service.
The smoke development was heavy and several units as well as an ambulance and police were called to the scene. The smoke risked obscuring the view on nearby roads.
At half past five in the morning, the extinguishing work was still ongoing. It is unclear when the fire can be completely extinguished.
