Over 1,000 scouts were evacuated from a summer camp in central Poland on Tuesday due to expected heavy rain on Wednesday.

The scouts, who lived in 16 tent camps outside the capital Warsaw, were moved indoors, reports Poland's state TV TVP.

On Wednesday, downpours have hit several provinces where the rescue service has been alerted to floods and fallen trees.
