Scottish Police Investigate Epstein’s Trips to Balmoral With Prince Andrew

Scottish police are investigating trips Jeffrey Epstein made to Balmoral Castle with then-Prince Andrew in 1999. British media report that the investigation concerns suspected sex trafficking linked to the trips.

Epstein and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, were reportedly invited on hunting trips to the Scottish castle. Police are now investigating the visits, focusing on “surviving victims.”

No further details were given. Epstein was indicted in the US on charges of sex trafficking minors. Both before and after his death in 2019, numerous reports emerged of a sex trafficking network with ties to Andrew and other prominent men.

As a result, King Charles stripped his younger brother Andrew of his princely title in 2025.

Balmoral is often described as Queen Elizabeth’s favorite residence, and it was where she died in 2022.
