On Instagram, the midfielder posted a video of herself in the hospital bed after the operation where she makes the victory sign, as well as an X-ray of a nailed finger.
"Reminder to yourself: Don't trip over cones at practice," she writes.
Her Italian club Inter writes on its website that the Swede has undergone successful surgery on her left hand and that she will begin her rehabilitation in the next few days.
The 34-year-old left Rosengård last winter to play for Milan club Inter. She has made 110 international appearances, but was not selected for the European Championship this summer nor for Tony Gustavsson's squad for the autumn meeting.
