At least 34 students and one teacher died, according to a medical source.
Another 50 people were injured in the accident, which is believed to be the deadliest of its kind in the country’s history.
Bilal Faizi, a spokesman for the local rescue service, told the AP news agency on Thursday that rescuers had managed to free everyone who was initially trapped under the rubble.
According to Faizi, more than 100 rescue workers took part in the operation. He praised their efforts, saying they had saved at least 40 people.
The cause of the accident is being investigated but remains unclear.
