The short film for Yung Lean and Gener8ion's song "Storm" has become a global talking point within a week and has been hailed as "music video of the year" in several international media outlets.
French star director Romain Gavras has placed the Swedish rapper in a dystopian boarding school environment filled with smoking and violence, with notable choreography by Damien Jalet.
But Cardinal Mercier College in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium, where the video was filmed, is not happy. According to the school's management, the project was sold as a depiction of "youth in the eye of the storm," but the violent scenes came as a surprise:
"These are not images we want to see associated with a school," principal Gregory De Smet tells The Bulletin.
