Scania is to sell 2,000 biogas-powered buses to Lagos in Nigeria. The major order was finalized in connection with the Swedish trade office opening in Nigeria on Tuesday.

It is a very large and positive message and it means that the work here gets a flying start, says Infrastructure and Housing Minister Andreas Carlson (KD),

Together with Crown Princess Victoria and a trade delegation, the minister inaugurated Business Sweden's first trade secretary office in West Africa.

Scania has also previously delivered buses to public transportation in Lagos, but not to the same extent.

There is a great commitment to buying buses and expanding public transportation in Lagos and Scania is a competitive alternative that they have chosen to proceed with, says Andreas Carlson.
